first week's finds

ok, i have been out for a few hours each night. i am using a new ace 250. i now have assorted change; 4 nickles, 6 pennies and one quarter, a 20 inch chain that might have been a dog leash (?) one wheel from a rollar skate and a cell phone, and one unidenified rock that is metal but rusty looking, and an odd twist of metal.
i have a few sites that i want to do next.
my questions to anyone is this: on this ace, what signal would i get for jewlery? i set it on jewlery and i found nickles.
thank you

Re: first week's finds

Depends on type of jewlery Gold can fall anywhere from Foil to pulltabs. "Dig all signals" Silver is going to ring higher in the dime and above range most of my silver on my ace fall dime/Quarter. General rule of thumb if your digging nickels your in the right range. The Pro performance coil Garrett sells for the Ace 9 x 12 will get you about 2-3" deeper never take it off my go to coil. Keep at it and you will find some goodies.

Hunt tot lots, good for learning sounds of most targets, as you never know what you might find and digging is so easy. Helps learn machine before digging turf. Helped me. Good luck.

Re: first week's finds

you will have to dig almost all foil/pull tab
signals on your ace 250 to find the jewelry !
By the way, welcome to treasurenet !! :hello2:

Welcome to T-Net and you are in the right range for gold. I have the Ace 250 also, and thank god it's easy to learn, you will master its souds in no time with a little practice everyday. Good luck on your future hunts.
