First Wheat Penny found in an old drive in theater spot turned baseball/football field. I am sure I will not be able to clean it up.

Congratulations on your first Wheat Cent (the first of many old coins to come ) and Welcome to TNet! :hello:

Nice. Always a good day in my book when a wheat or two pops out of the ground. Think I got spoiled the first time I ever detected I found a 1919 wheat. They will come up more often now. Especially at an old drive in area.

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Finding your first of anything in this hobby is a day you'll always remember - a big congrats on your first Wheat Cent !

A 1st on a hunt is always a good hunt. I've never tried the peroxide method. Only mineral oil on cooper coins.

Awesome first find ! that's how it starts , and it will only get better as you go!! Welcome to the best hobby there could possibly be !

Just found your frst wheatie? Congratulations, that's the point when my personal addiction to metal detecting started! I hope you'll enjoy this hobby just as much.
