Well finally got out for more than a 15 Minute Hunt. Sunday I decided to close my store and hunt acouple Elem Schools. My wife says I wanna go and see what you do (Even though she always see's my finds :P) So I took to the Elem School I went to in the 70's. Found a penny and a dime right off the bat, she started getting excited, even said this is fun ::). I took her to a courtyard, Looked totally different, but saw an old tree I remembered play under, I told her about finding caches under trees, then I said, Wouldn't it be funny if I found an old car I may have burried, just then Pulled the yellow car out from about 6", she laughed so hard...THEN...about 12" from the car PUlled out my first wheatie of the year 1941...YAAAA ;D. Anyway we pulled Q-11, D-6, N=2, P-26, Five cars, one is marked "Hot Wheels Vintage Splitting Image" wonder if it is vintage, any hot wheels collector's? Oh, this thing that looks like a weired screwdriver? Lots of fun with my wife...lots more stuff in the pics

Congrats on the finds and getting the wife to possibly becoming a detecting partner with you. Wish I could get my wife to get into this hobby but she is a tough nut to crack.

nice haul chris,i used to have "the splittin image"hot wheel, shouldn't have blown it up with firecrackers :P

I used to have that splittin image one too.

Actually, if ever I can get back to Centereach NY, I lived at the end of a dead end street where my parents say that I buried ALL of my several hundred hot wheels.

ohiotech, I hope you do get back there and find your car "CACHE"...I will never know if I buried the car I found, I was 7... 8)

Its good to see your wife take an interest . Looks like another detector in your future , lol . HH and good luck

I'm glad your wife is getting interested! It is fun to hunt as a husband\wife team. Congrats on your finds. I found my first Wheatie today. I'm to thrilled. :)

Congratz on the finds and hope you and the wife become another Tnet team ~ Jimmy

When I was 6 or so, I must have had 50 Hot Wheels cars. Remember the round storage case that was shaped like a wheel? My neighbor down the street worked for Mattel and was the designer for those cars. He did the conceptual art work. I had a few drawings he had done, but can't remember what happened to them (Late 60's, hard to remember that far back! ???). It's great that your wife is enjoying hunting with you. My wife likes to eyeball find rather than swing a coil.
HH
