Fisher F2 signal problem

If my target is in the hole I don't get a signal but if I flip the F2 over and swipe my dind in front of the target I get a signal. Can't pinpoint if its the coil or machine itself.

did yours come with two coils? If so try the other one. sounds like a bad/intermittent connection from the coil to the control box to me.

Just one coil. Bought it local. With I would have gotten it from kellyco. So I am gonna be out of commission for awhile. Untill I geab another coil
