Hello all! I'm currently in the market for a new detector right now, and I came across the f2 as a potential buy for an intermediate detector. I am primarily into coin shooting, so it's imperative that I find one that can reach 6 or more inches deep. How had the f2 been faring for you all? If there is a better Fisher model, I can spend approximately 500 seeing as my purchase will be for next season

If you truly have a $500 budget and you want a coin hunting great depth machine, I would go with the F5. The base model is in your budget and you can add the other coil (s) once you have a little more to spend.

You could also get an teknetics omega or an AT PRO or an ace 350 or an F5 all great, machines
