Detector was fine yesterday. This morning when I push the pinpoint button the detector goes into overload--just a continuous scream and "--" in all the displays. So I can neither pinpoint nor read depth at the moment (surprisingly perhaps, not too bad a morning in the field otherwise LOL). I've tried removing and replacing the batteries and pushing the pinpoint button over and over in case it's stuck, but no change--if I push the button momentarily it will go back to normal disc, if I hold it down it will scream and keep doing so for a couple of seconds after the button is released. Problem is unaffected by settings for gain, discrimination, tone, ground balance etc. which all function normally.

I chose my name well!

Help please! Any ideas before I send it in for service?

Works fine today, appears to have been a loose coil connetion. Never mind!
