Just got her day before yesterday and have used her in the test bed so far and am very very pleased. I love my etrac but this dude seems to do amazing on lead and discriminating out small iron and picking up the goodies. I realize in real world applications this will change a little but I couldn't be happier for a new relic machine to come along. I only hunt CW camp sites and a few battle sites unknown to most so it's usually all fields or woods and I think I'm going to be very happy with this machine. Anyone else have similar luck with their F75.

I have an original F-75 that I sent back for the full upgrade and it still amazes me. I have a NEL Sharpshooter coil on mine (and the SunRay FX-1 probe) and it is a coin hunter.

I have a F75 Limited camo edition and its awesome! LOTS of power!

I got mine last year and love it for my field work....Ran a test on it with a very small flake coin from the 1500's that can be very small, it is bronze.

The F-75 LTD is the only one that will pick it up from two to three inches. With the AT PRO and the CTX so far I have to rub it against the coil to get a response.

Even the F44 will pick it up, something about fisher and small bronze and small targets that it will detect at range well.

I noticed that yesterday on an old zipper piece. I found the part that attached to the track missing the piece you put your fingers on. It rang in loud and clear at 5 inches

I've heard that people do really well finding silver coins with the F75DST.

I've been enjoying mine now for a littler over 2 years. :icon_thumleft: Thinking about sending it in for a tune up.

I consider myself a "coin shooter" and the F-75 LTD2 is all I could ask at the price for my hunting areas. I have pulled Barbers out of heavily hunted areas and that tells me I am doing something right. I think the F-75, swung fast, has better "trash" separation than most

After hearing good things about the 75, I will purchase one in April or May.

Good on you. But check back in before you do. Four months is like four years in "Detector Years".

Ground balance often, don't be afraid to lower the "Sensitivity" (I wish they had stuck with calling it "Gain" as users now think cranking it up adds depth) and don't hesitate to do the factory reset regularly.

It is cold in Connecticut and a lot of snow by April or even in May, also in New York. Thanks for the good advice.

I see the upgrade is on the website again dated April 31 2016 but no place to order it and at the bottom of the page its still April 1 2016. I emailed them and they said soon. I bought mine used for $530 a few months ago its a LTD but had not been upgraded. I cant wait for them to open the door for the upgrade.

I read your thread about buying the F75... what an ordeal. I felt bad for you and was wondering if you kept it. Looks like you did. I hope they hook you up with the upgrades. Good luck!

I sent the serial number to Fisher and they told me it was a 2014 F75 LTD. I knew after I got it that it was a LTD because it comes up LTD on the screen, it also had the cash and boost options but not the upgrade. I emailed them and they said the upgrade ran out in April 2016 but might be on again in 2017. They said they would email me. I was checking the upgrade page every day and finally I saw it say the upgrade is over April 2017, but there was no place to click to order it at the page bottom it still said over April 2016. I emailed them again and they said they would email me. After a few more days I finally saw a link in place of the April 2016 at the bottom and clicked it and was able to fill out the upgrade order. I sent it in last wed and they got it Monday, So I'm waiting for them to send it back with the upgrade.

That's great news. I am glad it all worked out with you. Bet you can't wait to get it back and get out with it. I am looking to start and think I will be getting the F75. Glad it will be new and in a box so I don't have to go through what you did.
Good luck to you and post in that thread when you get it back about it after you got to use it a bit.

The problem is they call all of them Special Editions. I do not know if they show if its a LTD or SE on the box. But all say Special Edition on the box. Since the Special Edition does not mean its a real SE, you can only tell that when you turn it on and SE comes on the screen.
My box said Special Edition but not LTD.

I got mine when they first came out (2007) and it is a "Special Edition" with gold shaft. Just has winged "F"s on the cuff. Does not say "75" anywhere on the detector.

Sent it back for the full upgrade to LTD2.

I am planning to purchase a new one in April or May when it gets warmer in Connecticut. Good hunting and good luck.

thank you, the last 2 weeks have been in the high 60's to low 70s, but now its getting cold again.
I signed up for 2 hunts in April and one is an open hunt in an old park. The Charles Garrett Memorial hunt in Texas April 1st. I hope I can get to know it by then. I normally use a Coinmaster GT for hunts. However the Garrett one is in a supposedly un hunted old park and the park is open for hunting.

Just bought my F75 limited two weeks ago and boy is it hitting deep. I hit a 1925 wheatie 12" deep today.
