This was my 32nd hunt for the year and my silver coin total for the year is now at 101. I wanted to make it to at least 100 before getting skunked. That goal has been reached plus one. This silver streak is a lot of work.

On the way to one of the sites that I detect I noticed a girl getting something out of her trunk of her car. I hit the breaks, ran up the driveway and introduced myself. Lucky for me she was a real estate agent, because being a retired real estate agent/home designer/builder/land developer we had a lot in common that we could talk about.

We did a lot of talking and come to find out that she didn't own the home that was built in 1951. It belonged to her boyfriend who was taking a shower and getting ready to go to work. She said she would give him a call on her the way to work and tell him to come outside and speak with me.

Finally, he came outside and come to find out that he went to the same school that my grandson attended and played football for down in Oxford MS. He also played football, so we ended up taking football. Long story short, I got permission to hunt his yard.

Anyway, there wasn't much trash in the yard and the coins weren't deep at all. I ended up finding 14 wheat pennies to go along with my 5 silver coin finds.

Great day and an unreal streak.
Keep the streak ALIVE!

Awesome day, great haul on the silver.

What do you clean your silver with they look great!

You are killing my self esteem with all of these silver coins. Please go back to finding gold rings!

Congrats on the Ben... and the other silvers.

Here! Here! I agree whole heartily with Tom! :happysmiley:

I turn a microfiber washcloth into a large jewelry cloth. In the bottom of the sink mix about a cup of water with around a tablespoon full of Bar Keepers Friend. Use the microfiber cloth to soak up the mixture, wring it out and let it dry. After you wash your coins you can now shine them up by just rubbing them with the dry impregnated microfiber cloth.

"Unlike more abrasive cleaning powders such as Comet and Ajax, Bar Keepers Friend uses oxalic acid as its primary active ingredient."

good lord...101 in 2.5 months. stay away from new jersey lol. j/k...great job. you're on pace for like 500 this year lol.

101! Holy cow!

I'll be back in TN this weekend but not sure when exactly...I miss digging in that moist soil and the smell of a freshly cut plug in that area. The ground is not quite the same out here....but I know where to go for the deep pre-1930 coins here!

Keep working that area - you'll get back to the gold soon enough!

EDIT....

You should take your Tejon or Cibola to those curb strips I was working yesterday (at the first place) - I think it will pay dividends!

Big Ben is a tough dig. I see way more Walkers posted and I have yet to get one too. Nice day for you

U DA MAN tabman. :headbang: Five silvers is great, heck the Ben Franklin made it a great day on it's own. Keep the streak going. We're all rooting for ya.:hello2:

Well let me know when you do find out. I agree working those curb strips at the intersection of the first site we hunting should be fruitful if I'll slow down and use my modded Cibola. I'm getting gold fever!

Thanks everyone! I'm surprised that the streak lasted this long. I was down and almost out one day.

You're on a roll with that silver.
Congrats.
