I got out this past Saturday to a park that seems to produce good results after a nice shower. On drier days, it can be a one good coin day or a skunk. Tom and Joe know what I’m talking about here. With a new/used Sunray Probe attached, I started out and within 10 minutes had a good signal that I brought out the camera for (There will be a video soon) which turned out to be a mercury dime. I managed a second one an hour later followed by a Rosie and then another mercury dime. Four coins out of here is a hell of a nice day. The last time I was there I also came out with a decent number (Three).
Later on in the day I went over to my parent’s house and found that my 8” Minelab coil had arrived. I got this from Richard at Backwoods Metal Detectors. I hope the moderators don’t mind plug-ins………but this guy is great in service and prices. Please edit (Moderators) if this is not allowed. I decided on a BBQ later on that day and strapped on that little bad boy of a coil for a quick little hunt while the fire started. I’d gone over this small area at least six times and spent hours with the stock coil and turned up nothing. In the 10 minutes of this mini-hunt, I pulled out two wheats, a clad quarter and the mercury dime I’m holding in the photo which was down at about 5 1/2”. Photos enclosed, video soon.

Terriffic finds! As I have heard on this site many times an area may never be hunted out just a little depleted. HH

Congrats on all that silver. Those mercs are some coins. Been a dry spell on mercs for me lately. Again, great finds.

Congrats on the dimes. I've had a little bit of a dry spell on Mercuries myself. I think the last three silver dimes I found were Barbers...not that I'm complaining but it is just unusual. I've always found very few Roosevelts.

"Hunted out" sites are my favorite places to hunt...especially if we've had a nice rain the last 24 hours. The signals on deepies seems to get better. Nice huntin' Ricardo.

WTG! 5 silver dimes in one day! Excellent job! 2 of those mercs look like they are in good shape, what do the reverses look like? do any have full bands?

Ken

Ricardo you rock ! I'm stunned at the quantity of silvers you find . I've only found one merc so far ,

way to go , you inspire me to find more . Thanks , Gregory, Santa Fe.

Great silver dimes. So, what do you think of the sunray probe? I have been using them for about a year now and would never use anything less again.
Truly the best pinpointers I have ever used. Can't wait to see more videos, I really need to start making some myself.
HH,
Donny

Good deal. I use the 7.5" coil now and then. It makes for a lighter rig, that's for sure!
