Yesterday we did have the opportunity to visit two spots, oldest coin recovered was minted 1822, also a very nice ring with engraved stone.

Piegrito, Luis, Blas, Edgar and myself …

… no one from this crew and I think nobody else had found an old jacket button like this that Piegrito found. I showed a Crown and says something like Veracruz; ( any information on this?)

Just at the middle of our detecting day (9 hours) the Blass’ detector turn off itself, “ passing away”. We all inmediatelly shout a recognition speach for this soldier of thousand battles; but Blas knows what exactly do in this cases … drinks Tecates under a shade 🤣

Apaches tribes were in this land more than 170 years ago, I was dreaming with find a pice of Apache arrow, but nothing this time, … some day .

From the top of a hill we watched our next spot ( it was a fort in 1800’s, could be)

Cochise, is a phonetic deviation of Jose.

An American interviewer, interviewing this Apache Chief… when his traductor said let me introduce “he is José”… the interviewer in his accent said nice to meet you Cochise. And then apaches laugh and since then they call Cochise

Our eclipse in the northeast was just a tiny slice, and we had a cloudy day so it was difficult to see.

The coin in post #11 (image 3108) shows Liberty seated. I have three candidates for that image:
1. 1/4R 28mm E. CHIHa LIBERTAD (various years between 1860 and 1866).
2. 1/8R 30 mm LIBERTAD (State copper from Mexico City) issued in various years between 1841 and 1861.
3. 1 centavo 27mm (Mexico City) LIBERTAD Y REFORMA (1863)
If there is no legend (letters) behind Liberty, it's the 1/8R; otherwise, it's one of the other coins based on diameter.
The reverse image of that coin is unknown to me. Can it be cleaned up a little and then reposted?
