Flag pole tip?

This is a copper piece I found about 10 inches down. I don't know anything about it but it only has the one hole in it.

Sorry bf1 I thought the penny would be enough reference. But here are the dimensions its 1 3/4 inches long by 1 inch on top tapering down to 3/4 inch.
