That's actually not just a flat button. It's got a design on it. The more buttons you dig the more you appreciate them - at least I do.

Congrats on the button, I still enjoy digging them

i feel the same way, at first i was like just another button, but now i like every single one, and man there are so many, nice find

If you are able to clean the face, you will see a machine made swirl pattern. Very well done sir!

Flat buttons are sometimes indicative of a great area your hunting

Nice find. Clean it up a little more and you may be able to identify it with some internet research.

I agree with the rest. Take a little closer look. Buttons are always fun to dig, and with so many out there the potential is endless. Nice find.

Nice button and nice unbroken loop. In my experience early flat buttons in an area also means the possibility of early coins as well. HH

It came from a civil war winter encampment. I wonder if it was off a soldiers coat? Or if it's too old. From Culpeper county.
