Flat button with face on it

I found this flat button in a New Hampshire field with 1700s-1800s history. There is a face on the front, holes throughout and no makers mark on the back. Anyone have any other information?

Unfortunately there are no markings on the back

Is there signs of a shank on the back? Just a broken nub of one can tell much about its age.

It’s an alpha shank (1770s-1800)
