🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Button-esque coppers

Found these at a 1700s sawmill site. My first thought was button but there is no evidence of a shank. They are copper and the same thickness as a flat button but that lack of shank has me confused. Any ideas?

I didnt even think of rosettes. I always just assumed they were fancy instead of being so plain but that could be it for sure. Thanks!

Will be interested to know once someone ids them, but based on their size I bet they sounded great.
