✅ SOLVED Flat, light metal with finger hole

This was during my afternoon hunt. It looks like some type of hanger to me. The large hole in the handle is what throws me off. Ferrous metal, possibly tin or steel, approximately 20 ga steel.
This was under a big tree root, about 6” under the surface. I nearly gave up, but my trusty pinpointer kept screaming at me. 🚨Thanks
