Flea Market Junk Box Finds

I hit the local Flea Market this morning and only found one guy with any artifacts and it was the typical junk boxes you see at them. I asked how much and he said anything in there was a dollar. Another guy was already looking and had picked a few nice little Birdpoints so I started going through and found these 10 decent pieces for $10. All were local and from Greenup and Carter counties in Ky.

I got 3 Hafted Scrapers and a Hafted Chisel (the Stemmed Point) which has the coolest fossil inclusion I have seen. A couple small Bifurcates, a decent little Triangle, a small Stemmed Point, a really nice Flake Tool, and a Gun Flint. Not bad for $10.

I used to love flea markets when I was a bit younger. Haven't been in a while. Those are incredible. I have seem similar. We have so many pulgas(fleas mkts) here. I used to buy a bag of fresh roasted cacahuates(peanuts), set up and leave someone there to go check out the market . I once bought a putter for $10 that I later found was worth $2500. Problem was I took it back to my table, left it and my helper sold it for $2.50. Almost committed murder that day. But I never found something as cool as you did. Proves that one man's junk is another man's treasure. Great shopping...

Great flea market finds! We have a couple of flea markets here and I haven't gone to them in years until a week ago. You can tell the economy really took a dive when you see so many empty booths and made me sad. I didn't see anyone with artifacts but that don't mean they weren't there, I just wasn't paying attention lol It was fun going though and I've always loved the junk boxes because sometimes you can find some not so junky treasures like you did.
