I dug us about 3 miles outside of Shepherdstown in a farmers field. I have found other things that indicate 1950s. The farm is from the late 1700s. Have no idea who it belongs to or who it was for. IMG_1607.webp
 

Looks pretty old to me. Lets hope its 1750s not 1950s. Very cool keep digging
 

I'd say it belongs to you now. Neat find.
 

fluer de lis -- is often thought of as French or Spanish ( its the symbol used by the new Orleans saints football team as well) ... in 1702 the French king ( from the house of Bourbon ) also became the Spanish king as well when his cousin died without heir --- ...this sparked off a war as the other European powers said it was too much power in one set of hands --the war lasted from 1702 to 1714
