Fleur-de-lis's buckle

I dug us about 3 miles outside of Shepherdstown in a farmers field. I have found other things that indicate 1950s. The farm is from the late 1700s. Have no idea who it belongs to or who it was for.

Looks pretty old to me. Lets hope its 1750s not 1950s. Very cool keep digging

fluer de lis -- is often thought of as French or Spanish ( its the symbol used by the new Orleans saints football team as well) ... in 1702 the French king ( from the house of Bourbon ) also became the Spanish king as well when his cousin died without heir --- ...this sparked off a war as the other European powers said it was too much power in one set of hands --the war lasted from 1702 to 1714

I say French,but might be wrong
