first of all i would like to thank all the people who responded to my previous posts, their input was very insightful and very appreciated so, thank you. I found all of these chips under an overhang but didn't dig in to preserve the beauty of the spot. I am a naturalist first and a arrowhead hunter second but, i find these types of flint in my creek all day long so, i was wondering if you all thought if these were flint chippings? thank you. I can appreciate the fact that you're a naturalist, but the chips indicate the the overhang was probably utilized, and probably contains some better artifacts. If you are careful in your digging, you can still maintain the beauty of the site. Of course one factor to consider is who owns the property and do you have permission to hunt.
