Flint maybe?

Another item that was passed down to me... it appears to be French flint, when you hold it up to the light it looks yellow... well, like honey but i'm no expert.... what do you think?





 
Amber flint from France. Great quality compared to black English flint.
My guess.

Thank you. As you know, i'm not sure. At first i did not know what it was till I researched a bit on this forum. (BTW, Thank you) I just would have thought they didn't belong!

I'm not getting the color, but the flaking looks French rather than English. Someplace I have both French and English flints. Used to shoot flintlocks a lot 20 years ago.
