Florida Finds c1910 to STS-51C

[cambria09]

Hello all. Hunted three in-city home sites and a 1950's sawmill for these finds. Got a nice mix including hardware, ammo, compacts, WC's, some nice silver, and a significantly Florida pin from 1985.

Check the link and the last pic.

Quite the assortment of goodies there. Silver is always something to be happy about. The pin is interesting as well. Congrats on all the relics!!

Hi yaxthri. The pin is from Shuttle Mission STS-51C. Check the link. It was a secret DOD mission in January of 1985. A year later STS-51L flew and blew up. Crewmember Onizuka was on both missions and perished. It was a bad day for NASA, I remember watching it explode from Orlando. Thanks for the reply and good luck. C9

I remember the accident now, too... that was a sad day... But a great find though
