This frame contains a modified fossil bone, and shell pendant, found in a shell mound....The beads came from Cedar Key, and and are made from the whorl of seashells, Thanks for lookin.

That shell plummet is so cool. So many of them do not have what we would consider a "proper" groove/knob. It's proper the way it is, we just don't understand their uses. Makes me think that maybe they were wrapped somehow....wouldn't make sense to glue cordage on it when they could just make the groove deeper... That bone piece is WAY cool.

Looks like a guitar pic, Lol, no I have no idea, I can say this, they were bone experts, and when they came across any fossil bone, they were in awe as to what kind of creature it was from, and therefore used it in a revered way, not for common utilitarian or weapon type purpose, at least that’s my thoughts, so it was probably a personal item,?I never gave that one much thought.
