I?ve found multiple artifacts from the Simpson time frame in this specific site, I went back and found this base, it seems to resemble the other Simpson style artifacts I?ve found in the past. It also shows sign of fluting. Any input would be appreciated. Found in south East Idaho. IMG_3136.webp

Nice Paleo base. I thought Simpson’s were a Deep South artifact. Congrats!
 

... I don’t think fluted. The base has been thinned. Plz make some pics of all the other stuff associated with, that can help with an ID...
 

Yes Simpson is deep south but a lit of points across the continent resemble it.
 

Definitely not a true flute but has basel thinning like Fat stated above. Not a lot to see there to determine that its Paleo though it very well could be..............is it ground on those lower edges?
