A long, productive hunt - with two firsts.

Hit the park with Ed Burgee today and came away with some firsts for me - a flying eagle cent and a 2-cent piece. Four coins were earlier than 1900 and this is my 7th consecutive hunt with at least one IHP. I may have found the smallest spoon, measuring just 32 mm. The naval button is two-piece with most of the back missing. First target of the day was the 1917S merc. There were 8 wheats dating from 1910 through the 40s. NEL Tornado coil is making a difference.

Man you killed it at that park today. Congrats for checking a couple off your bucket list. Sadly both remain on mine along with the V-nickle. How did Ed's hunt go?

real nice hunt great day

Awesome finds! That 2 Center is a beauty.

Love them eagles, even when toasted. That is a magnificent amount of finds, Congrats!

Congratz! I consider that an excellent hunt! The Flying Eagle is one of my favorite coins. The 2c piece you found looks great!

That is really nice... an excellent assortment of coins... very well done!

Great looking 2 Cent piece, you had a great hunt. Congrats

Wow that 2 cent piece is in fantastic shape!!

That's a great day when you can dig that many coins plus some other goodies. That flying eagle is on my bucket list too. I've come close with a couple of early IH's, but no cigar so far.

Great finds! Two of my bucket listers there!

It's hard to stop detecting when your finding so many good finds congrats! Love the 2 cent! That coil must be perfect for the conditions.

Thanks Casper-2, It was hard work, but the old finds were worth it.

Thanks, L-D. Ed did good on the clad, but is waiting on his first Indian. I think if he gets a NEL and starts using headphones, he'll have one in no time.

Awesome looking 2 center. We had to debate whether mine was a 2 cent piece or not lol. Still looking for an FE...great job.

Thank Rich_f. Hunts are often the same as far as clad, wheats and trash go, but it's those unexpected finds that are cool.

Thanks ATW. I know they're down there. Thankful that I was able to hear it and dig it.
