I always liked those drilled sharks teeth you have found. I have looked a lot over the years in Florida and never found a drilled sharks tooth. I found these photos and a found a whole different use for drilled sharks teeth than what I ever imagined. I thought they wore them as necklaces. $T2eC16VHJHEE9ny2rTN9BRY1gtuIzg~~60_14.webp

I cant get the pics to open. Are the a type of club or something? The pics are tiny, lol.

Shark_tooth_club.webphawaii-club-shark-teeth.webpI'm sorry about the pics. Having a hard time enlarging them. Yes they are clubs with drilled sharks teeth attached to them.

That is very cool isn't it?!
I have looked at some of those.
I also have some that have evidence of use and cord marks.
The only one I ever gave as a gift in a trade went to CapSmith ..that one had some good wear marks extending out from both sides of the drill hole.
I think some may have been used as tools for incising pottery.
I also have one that the root was trimmed on both sides..as if to fit in a slot.
Thanks for posting this.

Getting slapped or smacked with one of those shark tipped clubs would ruin your day!
