Hello enthusiests ! Got out to dig my favorite site once again and found some more relics from World War 1.In the ammo dept. I pulled out .303 training blanks ,clip for .303's .303 live round , flare head , a 38-55 spent cartridge and a protective cover for high explosive shell. For gear I found a soldiers enamelled large mug , a nice brass peice for gunsling I suspect , a good old no.2 grommet and a glove snap button. As for badges I was real happy to pull 2 general service collars, 2 epulet INF and a very hard to find officers lower sleeve crown badge which made me do the jig of happiness.Last but not least is the item I pictured alone , I suspect it was to hang something from a Highlander soldiers uniform as it was found in a spot where I;ve found Highlander badges in the past.It looks like a thistle design on it.If anyone can tell me exactly what this is please do.All in all it was sure a fun hunt.Hope to do it again next weekend.God Bless and Happy Hunting...Panz
