I just went through a box of pennies and got 8 canadian pennies, 14 wheats and a 1908 IHP... Went through a box of nickels and got no foreign (unusual) and 2 buffalo nickels and a war nickel.

What are your average foreign coin amounts per box of coins?

I average 5-10 canadian pennies per box
2-4 canadian nickels per box
haven't gotten any foreign in dimes/quarters/halves yet...

Thanks for any posts on the amount of foreign you average per box,

On average here, 2% of the pennies here are canadian. I usually get non-canadian foreign coins every 6 or so boxes, nickels are the most common denomination to find foreign

do you dump your foreign? if so, how?

My averages include bags, boxes and occasional loose rolls. Note: these do not include coin machine finds.

6.7 Canadian cents per box quantity (2500 cents)
1.95 Canadian nickels per 2000 nickels

I get a non-Canadian foreign (that show up as a cent) about every 7-8.75 boxes (it is usually a Bahamas cent).
I get a non-Canadian foreign (that shows up as a nickel) every 2.93 box quantities.
(It is usually a British penny).

Note: The majority of the non-Canadian foreigns were found in bags, and probably wouldn't have made it through the rerolling process.

Yes, I dump all Canadian coins, I'd be broke by now if I had to keep them all. However, I keep all silver canadians or pre 60's. There are no machines here, so I just roll them back up with the non keeper coins

GC..

Why would you be broke if you kept the Canuck coins... as of right now, they are worth more that the US dollar!! ;D

Down in the South (SC) I am finding about 5 Canadians pennies per box and about 2-3 nickels. Nothing other than that so far this year.

Yeah, I know 'bout that, but, no banks here will take them in bulk, so I'd have to throw them in a bucket and drive to Canada every couple of weeks to get my CRH money back

I found a 10 Chilean Pesos coin in my first Nickel Box. I also found a British 5-pence Coin in a CWR Dime batch once.
