Looks like you found a mate...... Mate!
They are what I call " stinkin Lincoln's "
They are junk, throw them in the trash!
Lol

Went for a really quick hunt this morning before work at an old homesite and got two americano cents, bit out of place as I'm in Australia and the house dates from 50s 60s. they are both from the 2000s?

Now you know why we b**** about zinclons.

Yeah I hear about your stinkin lincons a lot on here, now I've experienced it first hand. If I ever go to the USA I'll be sure to take a handful of aussie 5c coins and return the favour. lol

That's amazing, I wish I had ten dollars for every time Iv'e dug down about 8 inches around roots, sweating with dirt running down my face from whipeing the sweat off my brow with dirty hands only to find a STINKING LINCOLN !

Nice Aussie coin! Nothing like corroding zincs to start your day!
It's bad enough finding them whole, but when you start finding them in varying degrees of decomposition It gets ridiculous! At that point even the detector refuses to recognize them, it calls them bottle cap or iron!

So I had another go this morning and look what i found.. This is turning out to be a bit of a mixed bag. Coins everywhere but I've got to go to work :( Who knows what I could find here. So exciting

I hear ya !!! You just have to wonder how a stinkin Lincoln can get that deep !!! Wish I could go out and dig up some Australian coins in my hunting grounds !!! I'd probably do a little happy dance.

oh. I've only ever found one aboriginal artifact, and I didn't really find it. It's funny you ask because it was about 6 ft away from where I'm finding these coins. They were putting in underground power digging a trench and after the contractors were done I noticed they left an old bottle (broken) and a nearly perfect round stone.. Didn't know what it was at the time. Tell you the truth I'm still not really sure if it is an artifact. I've still got it anyway.

Yeah I was hoping that. Can't wait to return

50,000 years of occupation means a lot of artifacts. I have wandered the outback and have seen it myself.

Yes I have no doubt they are out there. Buried deeeeep.

We can mail you more,
if you want.
We have plenty, and we are a kind and generous nation.
Cheers!
