Went for a really quick hunt this morning before work at an old homesite and got two americano cents, bit out of place as I'm in Australia and the house dates from 50s 60s. they are both from the 2000s?

no, no...plenty still on the surface....go out a few Km. and poke around the dry washes where water pools in a bend...look for shade trees where the dry stream bends, that is a clue to water in the desert. I kid you not, if you know where and how to look they are not all that hard to find.
