I recently got this in a trade from Gatorboy. From the moment I saw it, I knew it was a vertebrae. I could see the processes. Then I noticed the distinct "ball and socket" type attachment point of the body of the vertebrae. Defenently reptile. Based on the reptiles living in Florida from the Miocene-Pleistocene and the large size of the vertebrae, I've narrowed it down to a gator or the tail of a large tortoise or turtle. I'm going with gator, but would love your opinion.

Notice the hole where the spinal chord would have passed and the apparent "ball and socket joint" shape of the body
