Found in a Kentucky creek by me a few days ago, just looking for some possible ID. Appears to be some sort of fossil to me at least. Thanks, Aaron

Kind on reminds me of a mastodon tooth. Some of them have striations like on your piece. I'm just guessing, no real knowledge.

Well,..that would be cool. I have several feelers out to try and get a definitive. Thanks for the response.
 

It could also be a fossil of a fossil. Meaning it is an imprint left when the organic matter decayed.
