Definitely not Indian. Don't think it is a fossil, Kind of looks like a mud concretion. Maybe someone more experienced than I will be able to identify for sure.

It is a great help when you post something with the item where we can determine its size. BUT, I think that may be coprolite , [ fossilized poop ] from some critter.

Found something similar looks like some sort of shell
