Any idea what kind of button? The site was invaded by the British in 1779. I'm hoping its a colonial era jacket button but there are no obvious markings unfortunately. Still cool in my eyes! IMG_2177.webpIMG_2176.webp

Hard to see but looks like an early 1800s flat button.
 
I would say so, but it is concave in nature (sorry about the bad pictures)
