Found a class ring today.

? I had about an hour before work to hunt.? I was finding a penny or dime here and there plus all of the other junk.? I found this at the very high tide mark (we've had pretty high tides the last few days and a pretty big storm swell).? Sorry for the scan as I'm at work, I'll post a digital pic. tomorrow morning.? It's a 1990, school initials "SHS", 10 K, it has the owner's name which I don't think I should mention online, let me know if I'm wrong on this.? I pulled a quarter and some other change out of this "pocket".? Isn't there a link on this website about lost class rings?

Nice find. And never mention the details of a find to anyone. If they have a claim to it they can describe it just fine. I've made finds on the beach and had a few drunks come over and say "that's mine man". I tell them to describe it in detail and I'll be happy to give it to them. No one ever has. Good luck and HH! Thanks for the replies. I checked on classringfinder and didn't see it posted. Since his name is on the ring I also checked classmates.com to see if he was registered on their, but no luck.

I called a local school today that has the same initials as the ring, but they weren't able to find anything on that person. I guess I'll list it on class ring finder.com and see what happens. The school said I could leave it with them (yeah right!). I might as well have thrown it back in the ocean. They don't even know if this person went there.

Hey tb, Good find !! I'm having a bit of trouble trying to find an owner now. it is a 1941 ring. I do have a chance of getting it returned. The ring's company name is on the inside but, The company told me their records did not go that far back. I do have initials on the inside. I am starting to contact some schools that were around then. It's going to be a real challenge. Good luck to you !!!

Good luck S.C. I hope you're able to find the owner. I would imagine it get's harder to find them as the years pass. I listed it on classringfinder.com. In the meantime I'll try some different searches under the owner's name.
