Cru'dad & I found an area of field which had been left fallow, it was about 2 acres (picture 2), we covered this area in 2.5 hours & got the following:

Medieval Bronze Cauldron Foot (claw shaped)
Victorian (maybe earlier) Silver Perfume Bottle Top
Lovats Scouts Yeomanry WWI button - Scots Highlanders (nice condition, only have 2 examples, I think this is the best) :)
Early 19th C Militia Button :headbang:

Then we moved fields...

Failed Wheat Crop...

Did the tyre tracks and a couple of small areas where a Wheat Crop had failed, with good results:

10 Scrappy Roman Coins - This now helps beat our best ever total for Roman Coins in the month of April (normally a tough month)
3 Lead Tokens
3 Livery Buttons - 1 with a Lion holding a Wolfs head
18th C Silver plated Cufflink
Unusual Cone Shaped Button
Georgian Pan/Trade Weight
Medieval Buckle
& bits...

This was also a 2.5 hours effort & overall for this time of year I'm very pleased with this result :icon_thumright:

No, that's the perfume lid

Your finds are amazing!!!!!

I believe that the round you have there is a tracer round.

I would love to find some old buttons, just cannot seem to find any around here. :'(

Sorry if I am beting dense----what is the AF & Co. hallmarked thingy? And what does the hallmark tell you??

Good digging. Great results.

Good digging. Great results.

AF & Co. were the makers (Makers mark) - no idea who they are, not researched
B over BB could be the retailer :icon_scratch: (unusual to have 2 makers 'type' marks)
Anchor - Means assayed in Birmingham
Lion - Silver standard .925
'N' - Date letter for 1912

So made by AF & Co. assayed in Birmingham (so the makers are probably near by), its sold silver & marked in 1912. :icon_thumright: (BBB unsure of)

Very Nice finds again Crusader ! You are going to end up setting a standard that will be hard to beat if you keep it up at this pace .
Nice going though .

Hope you didn't miss the wedding today Crusader :laughing9: :laughing9: :laughing9: Great finds as usual. Hootman

Sure did, I might like the Royal traditions of the UK, but I have no reason to watch their weddings - they are no friends of mine :icon_thumright:

I'd love to be Kate's best mate, friends with benefits of course! :laughing7:

Great finds guys!
Shame about the condition of the space shuttle,
probably the most collectible piece in the lot!

Cheers,
Dave

Congrats on beating your Roman count Crusader, and got a nice piece of stamped silver too. :icon_thumleft:  What's the deal with the rifle bullet, isn't it illegal to own guns in many parts of the U.K.?

Well, in the Good Ole US of A, we call them thimbles.
Excellent finds as usual, what is the stamped silver, the AF&Co?
Nice wedding, by the way.
Carl
