Found these a few days ago but after I tweaked my back I didn't have a chance to post. Ahhhhhh, aging is soooo wonderful at times!

The match case is patent 1900. Have a couple (one I found 35 years ago after a house was cleaned out and one my grandfather gave me). This one was sealed although sprung. Appears to be sealed with rubber but it also may be the matches which deteriorated in the container. The two I have use a wax seal in the top. I opened it a couple days ago and am letting it dry out to see if there's anything in there other than dirt.

The brass item I'm not too sure of. Looks like it has a tab on the edge. It does not look like a key hole decoration so I have some research to do. The ring feels/hefts like silver but I see nothing to confirm it like .925 or Sterling. Thanks for looking!

I sure can! It's a snake. The eyes go through the ring, which makes it look a bit creepy. Sadly, no marks to confirm if it is silver or not. :-\

Thank you. Wish there was a way to ID it, but there isn't. Couldn't find any other parts to it. I'll be back another day to see if I can locate the innards.

Ring is kind of neat in its creepiness. It looks silver and still could be, even without a mark.
