Hunting some Hut sites this past weekend, found a lot of melted lead. One piece in particular is huge.

Way to much digging, but those pieces of led sounded so good, I had to dig them.

hey civil war lead and buttons, how do you go wrong with that!
good job

Nice digs!! I know when I find melt that I'm in a good spot. Looks like you had a great day and have a great spot.

Nice finds. Looks like you had a great weekend.
What are the brown looking disks?
Did you clean those eagle buttons, and if so, what did you use.?
Thanks

You certainly will have a lot of lead to tote back.I like the button and bullets too.

I am told the "brown disks" are iron buttons. I have been told to use Ammonia to clean the Eagle Buttons. I just use a cue tip and dip it in the Ammonia and brush it over the button, does a great job especially if there is still some gold left on the button.

JACOB OUT FOR A LITTLE DIGGING FOUND A HUT FULL OF LEAD FOR THE TAKING . THE MORE HE SEARCHED THE MORE HE SMILED , ENFEILD BULLETS AMONG THE LEAD SCRAP AND BUTTON FIND.

Good to see you got a few nice "drops" Before they were melted, bet that newer pin-pointer got a-lot of use.
