I started out my day wading to a spot where there was a mill dam to do some detecting. About an hour in I was pulling up a handful of gravel to locate my ten millionth fishing sinker and I noticed a flake and some pottery. A couple more handfuls and there was a broken point. Then, out came what I am assuming is a spearhead. After that I just started digging in the mud with my hands, it seemed like every other handful had a point of some shards. Will post them all in the native forum as well. I also found some other odds and ends. The coolest is the US navy spoon handle that was bent into a ring. I’d love to know the age on that if anyone can tell. It was a really fun day.

That is an excellent spot on the River! Those are some great and interesting finds. Congrats!

I started out my day wading to a spot where there was a well known bridge/ferry and mill dam to do some detecting. Oh wow. Congrats!!

Lots of neat finds. I agree that you should go back there to find more goodies. Never know what is waiting.

Incredible spot! Wear it out!

I'd take a mask and snorkel next trip.

Don't worry I plan on it! All I can think about is what else might be there in the mud.

I have a mask but the water usually isn't super clear, especially after I start digging around in it. I think i may give it a once over with the mask before I start next time though.

Very Cool!!! Congrats!!!

Pretty good you claim?
Heck I'd be putting that up there in the really good title easily.
Then again I'm partial to the recoveries of the points.
Well done-and best of luck on the return recoveries.
