Found a ring first day ever metal detecting

Just got my first metal detector. First day using it I found a silver ring in my back yard!! Didn't think It was silver until it polished right up! cheers!

Nice job! I found my first ring in my yard to. Not as nice as that one. It took forever to find it, I couldn't locate it with the pin pointer, after about 15 mins, i realized it was jammed on the edge of my shovel. I bent the hell out of it...... :/
