Found a silver plated whatisit!!

Well guys me and a buddy were supposed to go on his boat and look for spots along our historic river that maybe nobody has gotten too but unfortunately the weather didn’t work out so I went to the park down the street which is also alongside this river. I put the 15” on a told myself only deep deep high signals. I got a deep deep choppy with some highs in it so I went for it. It was taking up vertical and I thought it was just a piece of iron maybe brass, so I pulled it out and found this. It’s the prettiest silver plated piece of brass whatever I’ve ever seen.....today.
Also found a pointed piece of old iron to something

I agree that if is likely a fancy knife handle but was hoping for you that it might be a handle or part of a handle to a pair of Opera Glasses!

Funny timing, my inlaws just dropped off their old silverware to ask me if it was worth anything. Everything was sterling except the knives, which had sterling handles (and some had plated handles) attached to stainless steel blades:



The one you found looks plated. You can see the slot where the stainless blade would've been attached.

Fancy and cool, nonetheless, but it's a knife handle to me.
