I was having a bad week...won't go in to it, but it included the starter going out on my truck. Great. Like I can afford a starter. I can't NOT afford a starter. So I pays my money(some borrowed), and go to the auto parts store to get my starter. Oh, did I mention that you have to pay a "core charge" of an extra $40 ? Oh, you get that back when you bring the old starter to them.
Anywho, as I was coming out, I looked at the ground(as is my usual wont) and I see a sterling silver ring on the sidewalk!
I picked it up and quickly scanned my find. It was sterling silver, shaped as a butterfly with gemstones forming the thorax(body). I'm thinking that I've got a post for "I couldn't Believe My Eyes" topic.(I must think about Tnet too much....nah. Got too many friends here.)
So, I look around to see if anyone was in the area, and I see an older woman(70's?) about 20 yards away. I hollered, "Ma'am!"
She turned towards me and I asked, "Have you just lost a ring?" At first she said no. Then she looked at her hand and said yes. So I walked up to her and said, "Describe it." She did.
I opened my hand and the look on her face made me have the best day to break the problems I was having.
I went home and changed my starter; only took about an hour, only busted my knuckles once!
"Where Good Deeds Are Performed Daily."
Thanks for reading.
Best wishes,
Scott
