Short hunt at an 1800’s church that I hunted close to 20 years ago. Got a sweet 1917 S type 2 standing liberty quarter. A 1954 Austrian coin, 2 wheats, and misc.

Most SLQs I have seen are worn. Yours looks like it was acquired new at a bank and dropped shortly thereafter.

That is one sweet SLQ. When they do come out that nice, they are usually late dates like 1929 or 1930.

2024 edition of the Redbook lists the SLQ in EF-40 @ $150.00. With scrutiny it might grade higher if not cleaned harshly. Nice find! keep looking there!
