Hello Friends!
Got out for 1.5hrs today and hit a sports field at a high school in the country. When I first saw this coin in my plug I though, "finally a silver dollar"! Man was I ever wrong!
It's a very interesting coin though, see the info on it. Not much else to show for my time, except for 8 pennies and a Whatisit!
Queen Elizabeth II 1977 Silver Jubilee Crown Coin
Queen Elizabeth II celebrated the silver jubilee of her reign on February 6, 1977. Forty-two years after attending her grandfather's, George V, own silver jubilee in 1935. Issued by the City of Newcastle on the Queen's Silver Jubilee 1952-1977. The Queen Elizabeth II 1977 Silver Jubilee Crown is the very first coin design to feature Queen Elizabeth II on horseback since the Coronation of 1953 and the first ever British coin not to feature any wording or numbering on the reverse side.
Composition: Copper-Nickel.
Face Value: 25 pence.
Weight: 28.28gr.
Diameter: 38.61mm
Thickness: 2.5mm
Thanks for looking,
Dave
