Found an interesting american cavalry saddle on local

Hi to all,

I was surfing on a kinda local version of kijiji, found an ad for a saddle for sale. It comes out it's a circa 1917 american cavalry saddle. The guy ask 650$ (canadian dollars folks) for it. Felt that i should post it here, my guts tells me it should better belong to a friend south of the border . Is it a good deal? I think i'm not allowed to put the link, so here a couple of photos.

That's $489.55 usd. It seems it may be a little high from what I seen similar ones sell for in range of the same period of 1904 to 1918. I could be wrong as the condition I see on the others sold varies?. That one looks to be in pretty good shape, but I don't know if complete or not and does it have any special rare features about it?.. If it was proven to be used by Dwight D Eisenhower or George S Patton that wound make a big difference in what it's worth.
