Found another late 1700's flat button, but with a different style shank.

We had two inches of heavy rain today, so I couldn't hunt until about 6 PM this evening. I thought the rain would help me find something decent and I was right. I pulled out a late 1700's flat button that was about five inches down. No design on the front, but still a good find.

What makes this button unique to me is the weird shaped shank. Most of the flat buttons I find have the omega style shank, but this one is different. It has a shank that curves to the side. Is this button older than the omega style buttons? Can anyone pinpoint the age of the button better than my guess of the late 1700's? Let me know your opinions on the exact age of this button. Thanks!
