found another weird piece of iron, what could it be ?

hello Tnet, found some wierd piece of iron today.
I found it in a forrest with some ww2 history at around 3' deep.
any idea what it could be ?

my guess is that it's a weird piece of iron,rusted and totally unidentifiable.for a proper chance at an ID,perhaps you should clean some rust off of it or maybe give it an electrolysis bath. maybe then it would be more identifiable.

I already gave it an elctrolysis bath, the weird texture isnt rust but the texture of the metal...

It may be a chunk of Shrapnel.Being ww2 history in the area.

If you're hunting a battlefield area it could be anything from shrapnel, to a piece that spalled off of an exploding vehicle or other equipment... Hard to say from the pic,
