Is that a rubber bottom of a cane or an elderly person's walker?
The rubber would be all cracked if it was from 1910.

I think it's the letter " D ". Possibly made out of copper or brass. Could it be a wax seal stamp?

Not a wax stamp. It would be a reverse “D” if it were. Likely a collar stud. Popular at the turn of the 20th century.

I think Bobwilki nailed it. A mirror image of a D is....... a D. While I didn't find any exact matches, ebay is rife with similar shaped wax seal stamps.

Hinge on the top of the image from OP (or dot on Plug n Plays top left image) and press onto wax, ending up with a "D" in whatever is stamped (or bottom left image from Plug in Play)..... still pretty confident on wax stamp. While we may disagree,, great imagery PnP!
