Found at colonial site, Coin maybe? SOLVED

I found this at a colonial site in Maryland. It measures 18.1mm x 20.7mm and is 3.52mm thick. It weighs 4.33g. I have showed this to so many people, and noone has a clue as to what it may be. I think it is silver due to the tone and numbers that it gave. I can say that it took 6 months to clean all of the crud from it. I have seen the people on this forum identify some really unusual things, hopefully someone can tell me what this is before it drives me nuts.

IMO I don't see any distinguishing 'cob' features.
If it were mine, I'd use electrolysis at this point.

Some of the pic look like lead is it magnetic ? does it bend? what does it weigh ?

It weighs 4.33g it is not soft at all. The tones and numbers that my metal detector gave indicated something more conductive than lead. Maybe a pewter?

It doesnt look like silver, if it is cleaned. Looks heavily pitted, which pure silver doesnt do that. Have you tried muratic acid? That will clean off the oxides and sulfides, but leave the silver. You can get it at a pool store. Leave it in uncut muratic acid for an hour if heavily encrusted. If it is not silver, like pewter or iron, I wouldnt. That is a normal silver cob cleaning method. What that looks like is a poured blob. It looks like the liquid metal was poured into a rag or something. Could have been in a real hot fire, or heated to melting to make something.

I tried a chemical swab test for lead and one for nickel, both were negative. Looks like its time to try the hydrochloric acid solution. Either I will end up with something that has more detail, or it will fizzle away completely. I will let you guys know how it works out.

OK, this is a long shot but it looks like a Civil War Minie' ball beaten down flat then a U.S. Signal Corp emblem scratched into it.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I tried the hydrochloric acid and that had proven that my item was definately not silver. It fizzled away into nothingness pretty quickly. LOL. However, I do want to thank everyone for their help with this. Metal detecting is a true passion of mine and without a doubt, I will be asking again for expert advice on identification of my finds. THANKS EVERYONE.
