found bottle or little jug ?

I found this while my son and i were deer hunting in october it was sticking out of the bank of a small brook i seen the neck sticking out of the dirt so i pulled it out the handle is gone the bottle is six and three quarters tall and it is twelve inches around there are no markings or writing on the bottle

Looks like you have found some stoneware. I'd look a little closer in the area for a trash pile.

Neat find! I have a crock the same colors. I'd be sure & search upstream too, that could easily have floated a ways after a heavy rain filled the brook (lol, which we call cricks ).

Be careful of age, though. When I was a kid, tourist traps sold this pattern to folks who wanted to make their house "look Colonial". For all I know, they still do.
