Found button at treasure coast beach

After a 14 hour north wind that eroded the front of the beach only; due to the small surf. I managed to find this button. It is about 1.5 cm diameter and does not feel solid. Some kind of copper alloy by the VDI on the NOX and color. The shank is drilled and there are file marks on it. Can’t tell if the shank is one piece or added on to the back.

Any ideas how to estimate a date?
