found cheap but what is it called

Flea market find for 2 bucks. Seems made of wood and the inside is entirely carved out, looks like buddahs? It has 2 sides on the inside theres many characters carved into this and on the outside is a floral pattern ,it has 2 tops and bottoms but my pics are too big so this is the only 1 i can post , very nice! but what is it called? Any1 out there see anything like this b4?

It looks like a decorative piece off some type of oriental furniture!
